A quiet puzzle inspired by najeon, the Korean art of inlaying mother-of-pearl into lacquer. There are no scores or timers. Look at each piece’s shape and pattern to find where it belongs. Bring it close to the right spot and it settles into place. If you get stuck, Hint lights up the spot for the next piece you pick up. Place the last piece and the mother-of-pearl begins to shimmer. Tilt your device to watch the light move across the design. ■ Art with Korean charm Explore the Moon Rabbit, Hahoe Masks and Fans, the Magpie and Tiger, the Sun, Moon and Five Peaks, Chaekgado, the Goguryeo Hunting Scene, the Ten Symbols of Longevity, and Unhak. Five difficulty levels range from 10-piece puzzles to works of more than 200 pieces. New designs keep coming. ■ Pieces shaped by the inlay The pieces follow the dark seams between the inlaid pieces of shell, so each one carries part of the design. ■ Large works, section by section For a larger work, choose a section such as the phoenix or the clouds to see only its pieces. Pinch to zoom in on the smaller ones. ■ Hang your finished work at home Hang a finished work like a framed picture on a real wall in AR. Give the room a name, and the frame reappears where you left it when you scan the room again. The spatial information used to find the room stays on your device. ■ Pick up where you left off Your progress is saved each time you place a piece. Open the app again to continue from where you stopped. ■ No ads or account The app collects no personal data. Some designs are free from the start. You can buy others individually or in themed collections such as Four Seasons and Things That Live Long. Available in English, Korean, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, German, French, and Spanish on iPhone and iPad.
