MetaGen Lite is a free app for songwriters, bands, producers and the people who look after them. It captures the data a song needs, in the room, as it happens, so everyone involved is credited and paid. Five guided sections: Start, People, Composition, Recording and Discovery. The questions adapt to your answers, so a demo asks less than a release. Identifies everyone and everything properly. IPI, IPN and ISNI for people, ISRC and ISWC for the recording and the song, with built in lookups on Spotify, Apple Music and MusicBrainz. PPL members can fetch their IPN straight from PPL, and get a verification badge. Records agreement, not just data. Send the writing splits to everyone on the song in one email and keep the date asked and the date agreed. Session photos with who was in the room and their consent. Declares AI: whether AI was used in making the song, and whether you allow AI training on it. Songs drawing on a living cultural tradition can name it and its custodians. There is also room for stories, inspiration, lyrics, thank yous, notes, social media and platform handles. Checks readiness and converts. The Converter scores a song against DDEX standards, tells you what is missing, then writes DDEX RDR-N and RIN files. (Beta) Share and import. Export songs and profiles and import catalogue to clean it up, ready to start new songs, with all the people you have ever worked with already saved. Share songs and profiles with other phones by email or QR code in the Creator ID. Rewards completeness. A finished profile earns a gold star and a Creator ID. Jewels mark milestones such as an ISRC on every released song. Made by Envoke and Stolen Recordings, an independent label. No account needed, nothing leaves your phone unless you share it.
