Verdict
Go Plus VPN and Leaf VPN both sit at 3.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 58% of Leaf VPN's written reviews are positive against 20% of Go Plus VPN's. Leaf VPN also leads on ratings volume (387 vs 6) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Go Plus VPN's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Go Plus VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Leaf VPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.7 for Go Plus VPN against 3.8 for Leaf VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Leaf VPN has 387 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 20% of Go Plus VPN's written reviews are positive against 58% of Leaf VPN's.
Go Plus VPN ships an update every 2 months, Leaf VPN every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
