Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Devialet Gemini at 4.6 against Melomania's 3.7. Devialet Gemini also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 22). Melomania's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Devialet Gemini holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Devialet Gemini has 1.4K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Devialet Gemini's written reviews are positive against 64% of Melomania's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Devialet Gemini ships an update every 3 months, Melomania monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
