Vögel
Read full descriptionHide full description
Vögel is spaced repetition for German vocabulary, built around one idea: don't make you learn what you already know. Vögel starts from the most frequent German words and removes everything English already gives you for free: identical and near-identical cognates, grammar glue, numbers, days and months, and near-duplicates. What's left is 1000 words you'd have to learn on purpose, in 20 topic units. Each card shows the word with its article, and a real sentence with the word highlighted. Tap to flip, then rate it with one of three circles: not yet, a little, or I know it. Spaced repetition decides when you see it next. Start where you are. A short placement round on the first launch rates a handful of real cards and skips some of the words you might already know. Private and offline. No account, no sign-in, nothing leaves your phone. Everything works on a plane.
