ArtVolt is the app for saving, storing and sharing your favourite art and design memories. With one click, you will seamlessly capture the image and all relevant details of the artwork’s information in our secured cloud-based system. By saving works, you can create your own digital diary of the art you discover. Whether at an art fair or a gallery, we’re here to save the memory for you.

The “Ovgoro” app provides a modern exploration experience of the Lefka Ori, or White Mountains, in the island of Crete (Greece). “Ovgoro” originates from the Cretan dialect and is used to describe an open space with view. NO INTERNET IS REQUIRED TO USE THE APP. The traversing of seven different routes, including the Samaria Gorge, becomes easier and more interesting with the use of your device as a guide. These routes include: Samaria Gorge Xyloskalo - Gigilos Xyloskalo - Kallergi Refuge Agios Ioannis - Kakos Poros Agios Ioannis - Kormokopos Cave Agia Roumeli - Lykos Bay Anopolis - Loutro The app is based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology and a web of installed beacons. The beacons have been installed in various points of interest in the town with various themes, such as the history of the region, the natural environment, culture and architecture. The system is activated when your device approaches one of these beacons. Once this happens, the app presents rich information for the point of interest which has been matched with the particular beacon. If you wish, you can follow the hyperlinks within the app for more information. The goal of the app is to highlight the infrastructure of the city and encourage various visitor groups to gain new experiences. The evaluation of the supervisory material was conducted with the valuable support of the Management Body of Samaria National Park.
