Verdict
The clearest difference is price: WatchKey at Free against µBrowser's $2.99. WatchKey also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (4K vs 107). µBrowser's advantage is review sentiment (57% vs 20%) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On update cadence there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
WatchKey is free to download; µBrowser costs $2.99 up front. WatchKey sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. µBrowser asks for nothing beyond the download.
WatchKey holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WatchKey has 4K ratings behind it against 107, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of WatchKey's written reviews are positive against 57% of µBrowser's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
