Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Read at every 3 weeks against Artsonia's every 14 months. Read also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Artsonia's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Artsonia against 5.0 for Read. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Artsonia has 1.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Artsonia ships an update every 14 months, Read every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
