Cosecha
Read full descriptionHide full description
Cosecha is a wine book you travel through. You begin in Champagne. Short stories of a few minutes, about the grapes, the ground and the people, with a quiz along the way that makes it stick. Finish the region with the Region Quiz and you earn the stamp in your wine passport, then you choose your second destination: Burgundy, the Mosel, Piedmont or Rioja. No points, no streak to keep alive, no daily reminder. One region at a time, written like a book. WHAT YOU READ β’ Five wine regions written as a journey: 51 chapters and 221 stories β’ Stories of two to three minutes, each with a photograph of the region β’ A checkpoint halfway through every chapter, a final quiz at the end, and a Region Quiz that earns your stamp β’ A wine passport with 86 stamps to collect WHAT YOU LEARN β’ A Wine School with lessons on how wine works: the vineyard, the cellar, the styles and the rules on the label β’ Flashcards to practise terms, with the hard facts on the back β’ A wine dictionary of 234 terms. The app recognises those terms inside the stories, so the explanation is always one tap away WHAT YOU TASTE Record a wine the way wine courses teach it, the WSET way or the SDEN way. Sliders for acidity, tannin and finish, choices for colour and style, and an aroma wheel where you tap the scents you recognise. Everything is optional: fill in as much or as little as you like. WHAT YOU LOOK UP For each region the appellations, grapes and producers, each with its own page. THE SKY OF THE REGION Behind the app hangs the landscape of your region, with the real weather of the moment. If it rains in Champagne, it rains in the app. In the evening the golden hour falls, at night the stars come out, and now and then a flock of birds passes. FREE Champagne and one region of your choice are free in the app. The other regions can be unlocked soon. DUTCH AND ENGLISH The whole app, stories and quizzes included, exists in both languages. One tap to switch. PRIVACY No account, no tracking, no ads. Your progress and your tasting notes stay on your phone. The only thing the app fetches is the weather, based on the wine region you are reading about, not on your location. Cosecha is for anyone who wants to understand more about wine than "nice", without signing up for a course. Read on the sofa, recognise it on the wine list.
