Monitor Your World vs UNC Well Aware

The Monitor Your World app works in conjunction with a sensor to monitor the humidity, temperature, and ambient light of your surroundings. This enables students to evaluate the environment near their schools, enabling them to collect and upload their own data and pictures. Students use the Monitor Your World app to learn about the various characteristics of their local environment. Teachers work with students to explain how these properties affect the surroundings in various ways. The Well Aware App gives well users the tools to confidently test their water for lead, microbial, and Arsenic contamination. This innovative at-home microbe and lead testing platform was developed for use with well water. Using our machine learning and color analysis algorithms, the app can read and explain results from a lead testing strip, microbe (E. coli) test kit, and arsenic test kit.
