Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Reflex Unit 2 at none against Same Room Same Day's shown. Reflex Unit 2 also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Same Room Same Day's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and ratings volume (38 vs 3). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Reflex Unit 2 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Same Room Same Day sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Reflex Unit 2 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Same Room Same Day has 38 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Reflex Unit 2's written reviews are positive against 100% of Same Room Same Day's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Reflex Unit 2 ships an update fortnightly, Same Room Same Day weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
