In Open Space you can explore for minerals on The Moon and Mars, using those minerals, you can use a replicator on the moon to create objects you describe in text, and show it off to your moon neighbors. Fill up your sphere on the moon and you can occupy more than one sphere. Owning spheres and objects grants you virtual currency in the game daily. Play GridHack, a mini-game on the Moon. Participate in the Lunar Lounge and leave your comments on the game. Choose a spaceship to use during the game. Use refillable energy throughout the game to travel to new destinations. View your cargo, consisting of different types of minerals gathered throughout the game. Smash worlds together and watch them shatter, merge, and melt, driven by real physics, not pre-made animations. Every planet is made of thousands of interacting particles, so every collision is computed live and no two impacts ever look the same. Build your own scenario in Setup Mode: place up to 8 bodies, set their size, density, spin and velocity, then let gravity do the rest. Or dive straight into a head-on collision and watch the debris glow, cool, and form a crust. - True particle physics (SPH), the first of its kind on mobile - Molten impact zones: heat, lava, and cooling crusts - Give planets rings or shred a moon into one with tidal forces (Roche limit) - Protoplanetary disk and colliding-galaxies modes - Black holes that tear planets apart - Custom planet textures from your own photos - Runs on everything: tune particle count, accuracy, and timescale to your device

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Space Crash Simulator at 4.5 against Open Space Game's 1.0. Space Crash Simulator also leads on ratings volume (718 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.5). Open Space Game's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Open Space Game sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Space Crash Simulator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Space Crash Simulator holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Space Crash Simulator has 718 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
