Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Sporting KC at 3.4 against Wind Surge Rewards's 2.3. Sporting KC also leads on ratings volume (62 vs 3). Wind Surge Rewards's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 17%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Sporting KC holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sporting KC has 62 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Sporting KC's written reviews are positive against 33% of Wind Surge Rewards's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Sporting KC ships an update every 2 months, Wind Surge Rewards every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
