SOJC vs URI Connect

We would like to welcome you to the App of the Southwest Orlando Jewish Congregation, a growing congregation of families and individuals whose lives reflect a sense of belonging and commitment to each other, our families, the State of Israel, and the larger Jewish world. We love to inspire, engage and nourish as we join together in a shared journey with our kehillah k’doshah, sacred community. Every member at every age, every level of knowledge or practice is supported, challenged and stimulated by an increased understanding of Jewish values and spiritual enrichment. We are a diverse Synagogue family, coming from many places and backgrounds, and we work together to connect to the deep well of our traditions. We delight in welcoming newcomers as we honor our roots.

URI is a global network for interfaith collaboration, learning, and resource sharing to end religiously motivated violence and create cultures of peace, justice, and healing for the Earth and all living beings. With over 1000 community-led groups, called Cooperation Circles, and thousands of members working in over a hundred countries around the world, the network gathers groups of people from different cultures, spiritual expressions, faiths and traditions to work side-by-side for a common cause. URI CONNECT has been designed to facilitate communication among URI members and to inspire collaboration to advance our collective URI Purpose. The app is a space for creative exchange to spark new ideas, deepen understanding, and grow resources for joint efforts, as we work locally, across regions, and as a global community. We believe that when people of different cultures, religions, spiritual expressions, and Indigenous traditions work together for the good of our communities, we build lasting relationships that deepen interfaith sensitivities and intercultural belonging while reducing hateful stereotyping and increasing appreciation of our differences, at the same time as we cultivate enduring collaborations that expand safe spaces and our collective security while stimulating our creativity and communities healing.
