Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Double Match Point at 4.8 against USTA Serve's 4.2. Double Match Point also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). USTA Serve's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 63%) and ratings volume (70 vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Double Match Point holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: USTA Serve has 70 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of USTA Serve's written reviews are positive against 63% of Double Match Point's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

USTA Serve ships an update every 2 months, Double Match Point every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
