Every journaling app can store what you wrote. Almost none of them read it back. Dayglean's daily ask is thirty seconds: tap a mood, add a line if you feel like it, by voice or by typing. No prompt you have to answer, no blank page staring at you. Then once a week comes Pattern Drop. Dayglean reads what you actually wrote and gives you one specific observation about your own week, in plain words. A sentence you can argue with, not a chart you have to interpret, and "Ask about this" sits right under it when you want to push back. WHY IT IS NOT LIKE THE OTHERS • Insight, not analytics. Other apps graph your moods and leave the thinking to you. Dayglean names the pattern in plain words and takes your questions about it. • Most of it is free. Voice, search, the calendar, the recap, the themes, the app icons and PDF export cost nothing. Dayglean+ is the weekly read, recording video, making books and importing from other apps. • Your moments live on your phone and back up to your own iCloud, which you can switch off in Settings. Your videos never go anywhere else. Cloud analysis for Pattern Drop stays off until you switch it on, and the screen that asks says exactly what leaves the device. • Streaks that forgive. A freeze covers a missed day, so one slip does not end your run. Nothing wilts, dies, or guilt-trips you. • In English, German, French, Italian and Turkish, picked in Settings. • Written for 16 and up. Not talked down to teens, not written past adults. • Your words are always yours to take: export every moment, photos and goals included, as a PDF. WHAT IS INSIDE Moments: a mood plus optional text or voice, in seconds. Video moments: up to twenty seconds of your day, with a look, and in English your words turned into text on your phone. Share video makes a copy with the Dayglean mark. Pattern Drop: your weekly read, one specific observation, every one kept to look back on. Ask about this: follow-up questions about your own week. Hear back: write eight words or more and get a short reply in Pattern Drop's voice. Books: bind a season of moments into something to read straight through, photos included. Import moments: bring your past in from Daylio, Day One, a text file or a spreadsheet, or share words from any app. You check every row before it is saved. Keeps coming up: the people, places and things you name in your own writing, with the mood beside each one, worked out on your phone. Try it: name one thing to try for fourteen days, then see your moods on the days you did against the days you did not. Timeline and calendar: your history two ways. Recap: the week as one card. Goals that show up in the weekly read, not in a list. Search across everything you have written. Apple Health, State of Mind, both directions, with separate consent for each. Apple Watch: log a moment from your wrist, by tap or dictation. Home screen widget: tap a mood to log it without opening the app. WHAT COSTS MONEY Dayglean+ is the Pattern Drop side of the app: the weekly read, its follow-up questions, unlimited Hear back, the signal cards on Patterns, Try it and the letter about your year, plus recording video moments, making books and importing moments from other apps. The videos, books and moments you already have stay yours either way. Everything else above is free. Without it you still get one Pattern Drop every calendar month and three Hear back replies a week. Your free run of Dayglean+ starts when you save your first moment and lasts until your second Pattern Drop lands or 21 days pass, whichever comes first. After that it is $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year, and both plans start with a week free. One tier, cancel anytime. If something you write suggests you are struggling, Dayglean points you to real crisis resources. That is a caring nudge, not a diagnosis. Dayglean is a self-reflection tool, not a clinical one, and it never claims otherwise. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
