spellblot
Read full descriptionHide full description
spellblot is a ink puzzle about words and shapes. Every cell must turn black. Drag an ink word onto a shape word beside it, and the spell paints the cells in front of it: a dot, a line, a fan or a ring. Each word can be used only once, so the order is everything. • 300+ puzzles in 15 chapters, from a sunny coral reef down to the deepest ocean trench • New words keep arriving: relays that cast the spell again, thick cells that need two coats, seeds that grow new ink, and flip, which turns black back to white • Every puzzle can be solved. Undo as often as you like, or use a hint when you are stuck • Earn shells and build your own sea floor with corals, fish and deep-sea creatures, each with a fun fact • Play as a squid, cuttlefish, octopus and more, in eight colour palettes • Hand-drawn art and relaxing music. No timers, no lives Free to play with ads. A one-time purchase removes them.

Verdict
Good Slice and spellblot are too close to call on the numbers: across 6 compared parameters — price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
