About

Maze Pig

Features

KRANKBOT, a wind-up toy with big ideas, has stolen the golden lettuce and caged the baby guinea pigs deep underground. Mama Pig is not having it. Sixty underground burrows in five chapters stand between her and the pups: Home Burrow, Hutch Town, Deep Caves, Frozen Night and Candy Coast. Every chapter ends in a boss fight, and none of them is a fight you win by hitting things. Stun the Giant Carrot and take a bite. Sneak up on Duchess the cat as she prowls her room and ring her bell, or dodge her pounce and ring it while she is dazed. Trick Boulder the hog into rolling into the crystal pillars. Lure Sir Woofington into the snowdrifts. Then take on KRANKBOT himself: car, robot and jet boots. Swipe to move, tile by tile, through mazes that start simple and turn into proper tunnel systems. Tap to drop a stink pellet and stun anything on your tail. You start with three hearts, and what you carry goes with you: lost hearts and unused powerups stay with you into the next burrow. Lose them all and it is back to the start of the burrow, hearts refilled. Clear a burrow without taking a hit for a CLEAN BURROW heart, and chain food fast enough and a combo restores one too. KRANKBOT's Clankers stand guard in front of every cage. Bump into one and it clanks you back. Every few seconds it runs down and has to wind itself up again: slip past it then, or hit it with a stink pellet and it topples over and clatters off. Freed pups follow you in a conga line to the exit. Cats patrol from burrow 3, dogs join the chase from burrow 8 along with fog of war, and hedgehogs roll in to block corridors from burrow 12. Some tunnels only run one way, and some exits are hidden. Five powerups help out when things get tight: dig through walls, sniff out the nearest food, freeze every enemy, stampede through anything in your path, or a shield that shrugs off one hit. Crack open a gift box for one of 34 random boosts. Catch the burrow rabbit for a golden carrot and you earn the Candy Rush: a 45-second bonus round of falling sweets, waves and sugar fever. Clear four waves to win the Sugar Crown: your next burrow starts with a shield, a sniff charge and every enemy frozen for ten seconds. On holidays the burrows dress up: pumpkins at Halloween, pepernoten for Sinterklaas, candy canes at Christmas, eggs at Easter, each with its own bonus round. The level map shows every burrow and every boss; beaten bosses can be fought again. Clear a burrow fast and clean for up to three stars against a par time. Stars unlock eight guinea pig coats, most with their own perk. The tunnels are reskinned across ten themes, each with weather that builds the deeper you go. The story is told in cartoon scenes: a two-minute intro, and after every boss a scene that takes the herd on to the next chapter. Every burrow has its own tune. Everything squeaks. The music, the scenes, the sound effects and the background guinea pigs are all chiptune, all made for this game, and all a little bit silly. Play with swipes, a keyboard, or a game controller on iPhone and iPad. Progress syncs across your devices with iCloud. Chapter 1 - burrows 1 to 12 and the Giant Carrot - is free. A single one-time purchase unlocks all 60 burrows for good - no subscription, no timers. Already bought the full game? The new burrows are yours. No ads, no accounts, no data collected beyond what iCloud needs to sync your progress, and it all works offline. Built for iPhone and iPad, played in landscape.
