Consult the prayer times calculated with precision according to the methods you have chosen and your geographical position. More than twenty calculation methods are available in the application (including the one established by Serigne Mbacké BOUSSO and applied in the holy city of Touba, Senegal and surroundings) and also other manual settings and adjustments. You have the list of the most important Islamic events and in particular certain magal (religious holidays) in Senegal in a Hijri calendar which you can adjust manually. During the month of Ramadan, you receive every evening reminders of the tarawih (commonly called naafilah) taken from the book Qurratul `Ayni by Serigne Chouhaïbou MBACKE. Choose your notifications for the call to prayer with several voices of muezzins including that of the Great Mosque of Touba. Also, you have the option to choose a language from English, Arabic, French or Wolof. The Al Ifâda application is a non-profit project: it is completely FREE and contains NO ADVERTISING. Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Al Ifâda at 5.0 against Layal's 4.5. Al Ifâda also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Layal's advantage is ratings volume (20 vs 4). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Al Ifâda holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Layal has 20 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of Layal's written reviews are positive against 90% of Al Ifâda's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Layal ships an update every 6 months, Al Ifâda every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
