Close Cities is free to download; Endless Cards costs $0.99 up front. Close Cities sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Endless Cards asks for nothing beyond the download.
Close Cities holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Close Cities has 356 ratings behind it against 71, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Endless Cards's written reviews are positive against 69% of Close Cities's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
