Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: UVCeed at none against Coverage Map's shown. UVCeed also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Coverage Map's advantage is ratings volume (798 vs 8) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Coverage Map holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coverage Map has 798 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of UVCeed's written reviews are positive against 68% of Coverage Map's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
UVCeed ships an update every 2 months, Coverage Map fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
