Get support @grgarside or georgegarside.com/apps/bluetooth-inspector Constant use of Bluetooth connectivity can drain your device's battery. Bluetooth connectivity is only used when this app is in the foreground and up to a few seconds after being backgrounded to safely disconnect from peripherals being interrogated, unless Background Scanning is enabled in the app and the Live Activity is running.

Features

WebProxyTool captures and displays all network data that your device and installed apps transmit and receive. How It Works: The app creates a local on-device server and routes all outgoing HTTPS traffic through it. The app locally generates a trust certificate that should be installed and trusted to securely decrypt HTTPS traffic. When it is done, WebProxyTool captures HTTPS requests, makes dummy leaf certificates for requested domains, and acts as a man-in-the-middle proxy to read network data. Importantly, data is stored only in a local device database, ensuring user privacy, and WebProxyTool developers do not have access to it. The app works without any remote servers involved. Privacy Statement: 1. The configuration profile and trust certificate are generated and used only locally on your device. 2. The app does not collect any data about the user, the user's device, or other apps used on that device, and thus the app does not sell, use, or disclose to third parties any data for any purpose. 3. The captured HTTPS traffic never leaves your device. Terms of Service: https://webproxytool.com/terms-of-service Privacy Policy: https://webproxytool.com/privacy-policy

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is update cadence: WebProxyTool at every 8 days against Bluetooth Inspector's monthly. WebProxyTool also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). Bluetooth Inspector's advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 310). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. Bluetooth Inspector sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and WebProxyTool sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Bluetooth Inspector holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bluetooth Inspector has 1.6K ratings behind it against 310, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Bluetooth Inspector's written reviews are positive against 64% of WebProxyTool's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Bluetooth Inspector ships an update monthly, WebProxyTool every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
