ThrowLab

ThrowLab brings flight analysis, distance measurement, and practice history together on your iPhone. See estimated throw speed, disc angle, and early-flight path, then compare each throw with your recent results. Track your longest throws, explore trends, and save speed and distance records across your bag. Start with 5 free video analyses and 5 free saved distance measurements, counted separately. ThrowLab Pro unlocks unlimited access to both. FLIGHT ANALYSIS Import a throw video, find the disc frame by frame, and analyze its early flight. • Estimated speed in mph or km/h • Disc angle in degrees: Up, Down, or Flat • Early-flight path in degrees: upward or downward • Differences from your recent averages • Saved ranges showing your lowest and highest readings, with a marker for the current throw • Forehand, backhand, right-handed, and left-handed throws • Straight, Hyzer, and Anhyzer intended-line selections Disc angle estimates visible rim tilt from the camera’s viewpoint. Readings from −8° through +8° are labeled Flat. Intended lines describe your planned throw and group comparisons. Comparisons use the same disc, throw style, and intended line. Saved ranges describe variation across throws, not measurement accuracy. DISTANCE TRACKING Measure the estimated straight-line distance from your throwing position to your disc’s final resting position, including skips and rolls. • Feet and meters • Estimated elevation change • Local wind estimates from Apple Weather when available • Average and farthest qualifying distances by disc TRENDS AND MILESTONES Explore speed, disc angle, early-flight path, and distance trends. Filter by disc, throw style, and intended line, and choose how many recent throws to display. Tap a chart point to see its reading. View your farthest qualifying throws and fastest saved flight readings by disc and throw combination, with trophy cards highlighting your records. Share full-page images of Trends and Milestones. PRACTICE SESSIONS Flight analyses and distance measurements are grouped into practice sessions. Review throws, filter history, and sort by distance. Delete individual throws or entire sessions. Comparisons, averages, and records update using the remaining eligible throws. YOUR BAG AND DISC COMPARISON Build your bag from a searchable catalog with auto-filled flight ratings. Compare up to four discs with color-coded estimated flight paths. Adjust arm power and throw style to explore their differences. PRIVACY AND ACCURACY Throw videos are processed on your iPhone. Distance tracking requires camera access; measurement camera frames are not saved or uploaded. Location supports distance measurement and local weather requests. Flight readings, distance, elevation, and wind are estimates. Flight readings describe early flight rather than the exact instant of release. Camera placement, perspective, lighting, motion blur, and video quality affect results. Use consistent camera placement when comparing throws. Disc comparison paths use flight ratings, not recordings of your throws. Throw safely and stay aware of your surroundings. THROWLAB PRO After a feature’s five free uses, continuing with that feature requires ThrowLab Pro. Choose an auto-renewable monthly or yearly subscription for unlimited video analyses and distance measurements. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
