In Roll, you have 2500 rolls to collect as many points as possible. Roll your dice to gain points, spend your points to upgrade your dice, and repeat. Borrowing gameplay elements from strategy, clicker, and roguelike deckbuilder genres, Roll creates a perfect balance of relaxation with critical thinking. Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Roll at weekly against Pawnbarian's every 6 weeks. Roll also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.2). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Pawnbarian sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Roll sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Roll holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 353 and 439 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Pawnbarian's written reviews are positive against 78% of Roll's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Pawnbarian ships an update every 6 weeks, Roll weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
