Hi, I'm Steven Musumeche, a resident of Lafayette, LA and avid saltwater fisherman. I created Salty Solutions to answer a question that I'm always asking myself: When should I go fishing? Like most of you, I have a limited amount of time that I can devote to fishing. When I plan my next fishing trip, I want to make sure the conditions are conducive to a productive day on the water. There are lots of great websites and apps available with information about weather, tides, and more. However, none of them gave me everything that I wanted to know in a way that could be quickly viewed and easily digested. I'm a software engineer by trade, so I thought, "hey, I can make something decent enough for personal use." After showing it to a few fellow fisherman, I decided to release it publicly for anyone to use for free. I hope you find it useful. Spend less time guessing and more time catching. FishCondish provides detail on all the conditions that move fish - wind, tide, pressure, water temp, and moon. The app also scans local reports for real-time bite forecasts and lure/fly/hatch suggestions. Works for any spot in the US or Canada - freshwater or salt. WHAT YOU GET • Wind you can trust. Three forecast models (GFS, ECMWF, ICON) compared side by side, leading with how much they agree — so you know how confident the forecast really is. • Tides & water. Smooth tide curves, high/low times, a nearest-station picker, water temperature, waves, and current for coastal spots. • Rivers & lakes. Live USGS river gauges with flow (CFS), gage height, and trend for the freshwater crowd. • Local Bite Report. Scans recent public fishing reports near you and blends them with seasonal patterns to tell you what's working now — with links to the sources it used. • Fishing score, explained. A 1–10 score for your spot and time, with a plain-English breakdown of every factor pushing it up or down — so you learn why, not just what. • Best time to fish. An hour-by-hour timeline highlighting the day's prime feeding windows, plus a 7-day outlook for planning ahead. • AI fishing guide. A quick, conditions-aware rundown of what to target and how, written for your exact spot and day. • Species bite forecast. See which species are active right now, coastal or inland, with bait, lure, and technique tips for each. • Solunar feeding periods, sunrise and sunset, moon phase, and barometric pressure trend. • Your catch log. Record catches with an automatic snapshot of the conditions, and spot your own patterns over time. • Save your spots, switch between °F and °C, and fish day or night with a clean dark mode. Made for anglers - working the surf, drifting a bay, or wading a river. Always check your current local regulations.

Salty Solutions's advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 7) and chart position (#134 vs unranked). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
