Vendémiaire brings the French Republican calendar to your iPhone, Apple Watch, widgets and complications. See today the way the Revolution counted time: the décadi and its décade, the rustic day it honours — a plant, animal, tool or mineral — the year in Roman numerals, and the Gregorian date beneath. A live decimal clock divides the day into 10 hours of 100 minutes of 100 seconds, exactly as decreed in 1793 — with a sweeping second hand, or a digital or ordinary 12-hour face if you prefer. Browse any month by décade, explore the whole year by season, convert dates both ways, and read the history of the calendar that lasted twelve years and the decimal clock that lasted one. • Five languages · light and dark • Astronomical (Paris equinox) or Romme arithmetic leap-year rule • Local solar, standard, or Paris mean time • Home-screen widgets and Apple Watch complications Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité.
