Estimate How Much Paint You'll Need This App is the simple way to plan a new look for your home. It allows you to save time and money by calculating the volume of paint you need for each room. Input the dimensions of the room to be painted and the opening (window, door ..) to subtract the area to be painted. Click the button to calculate the amount of paint and man-hours needed for this job. The Calculation To find the area of a wall, we multiply wall height x wall width. The estimate divides the total square footage by 350, as one gallon of paint covers 350 square feet. Your paint calculation will update if you change the number of desired coats of paint. Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Paint Calculator at 4.6 against QuantifyAR's 2.8. Paint Calculator also leads on ratings volume (154 vs 5). QuantifyAR's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (50% vs 40%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QuantifyAR sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Paint Calculator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Paint Calculator holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Paint Calculator has 154 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of QuantifyAR's written reviews are positive against 40% of Paint Calculator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
