About

Lets Untilt

Features

untilt splits bills with friends, flatmates and travel groups — without an account, and without handing your spending history to anyone. Add everyone by name, share one link or QR code, and start splitting straight away. People who haven't joined yet can still be in the group: they claim their name when they open the invite. Anyone with the link can see the group in their browser, no app needed. WORKS OFFLINE, ALWAYS Every change saves to your phone the moment you make it — on a plane, in a basement restaurant, on a foreign SIM with no data. It syncs when you're back online, and the app shows you what hasn't gone out yet. NO ACCOUNT, NO EMAIL, NO PASSWORD Nothing to sign up for. Your identity is a name, a colour, and a key created on your phone, and that key is never sent to our servers. Reinstalling on the same phone usually brings it back on its own. To move to a new phone, export a recovery code — or turn on cloud backup, and your keys ride your phone's own end-to-end encrypted backup (iCloud Keychain or Google). PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your bills are end-to-end encrypted. Names, amounts, notes and comments reach the sync server only as scrambled data it cannot read, and the key that unlocks them travels only inside the part of an invite link that browsers never send to a server. No analytics, no tracking, no ads. We have no way to see what you spend, and nothing to sell. SPLIT IT HOWEVER IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED • Equally, by percentages, by shares, by exact amounts, or item by item • More than one person paid? Record all of them • Emoji categories, so the feed is scannable at a glance • Drag to reorder the feed • Leave a comment on any expense SCAN THE RECEIPT Snap a receipt, or pick one from your photos, and untilt reads the line items on the phone itself — the photo is never uploaded. Tick off who had what, and tax and tip are shared out in proportion. MULTI-CURRENCY THAT STAYS PUT Paid in a currency that isn't the group's? untilt converts it and saves the exchange rate with the expense, so what everyone owes doesn't change later. Amounts always display in their own currency's convention, so they look identical on everyone's phone. SETTLE UP WITH FEWER TRANSFERS Balances simplify into the fewest payments, or switch to Every debt for the full picture. Save your bank details or payment handles once and choose which groups see them — untilt records who paid whom, it doesn't move money. SEE WHERE IT WENT Totals by category and by person, for any date range. NOTHING IS STUCK Fix or delete any expense or payment. A full activity log keeps the history, and if two people edit the same thing you're told rather than quietly losing your version. Export to CSV whenever you like, bring a group back the same way on a new phone, or import one from Splitwise. IN YOUR LANGUAGE English, Português, Français, Italiano, Deutsch, Español, 日本語, 中文, 繁體中文 and العربية. FREE Everything described here is free to use. No ads.
