Soil Consolidation
Read full descriptionHide full description
Consolidation tests are performed by applying incremental loads to a soil sample and measuring the deformation response. The results from these tests are used to predict settlements in the field with response to changes in the soil effective stresses. Cons-4 is designed to easily and inexpensively automate existing incremental-loading consolidometer or oedometer apparatuses including traditional dead weight units as well as pneumatic devices. This program automatically acquires deformation rates on one-dimensional oedometer test data during incremental loading of a saturated soil sample. Cons-4 software, together with the GCTS DataCube-C* wireless data acquisition device can simultaneously monitor up to 4 different oedometer tests on your mobile device through Bluetooth connection. Cons-4 provides real-time graphs of all ongoing tests and is also capable to display previous tests. It also performs real-time calculations of the relevant parameters including the end of primary consolidation. By calling your attention on your mobile device that the test is ready for the next load increment, it allows to significantly reduce total testing time while minimizing potential user errors increasing data reliability. Complete PDF test reports including Taylor’s (Root Square) and Casagrande’s (Logarithm) calculations are automatically produced and easily displayed, printed, or e-mailed. Raw data files can also be exported for further analysis or manipulation. *GCTS Testing Systems offers an inexpensive Consolidation Test Upgrade kit that includes the DataCube-C Data Acquisition device together with 4 displacement sensors and mounting hardware that adapts to most commercial consolidation apparatuses. Beam Calc is a powerful structural beam calculator designed for engineers, engineering students, technicians, designers, and anyone who needs fast and reliable beam analysis. Analyze common beam configurations, apply different loading conditions, and instantly calculate reactions, shear force, bending moment, bending stress, slope, and deflection. Whether you're checking a calculation, studying structural mechanics, or performing preliminary beam analysis, Beam Calc gives you the essential tools in one clean and easy-to-use app. BEAM ANALYSIS Analyze several common beam configurations: • Simply supported beams • Cantilever beams • Overhanging beams • Fixed-fixed beams Enter the beam geometry, section information, material properties, and loading conditions, then calculate the structural response. MULTIPLE LOAD TYPES Model practical loading conditions using: • Point loads • Uniformly distributed loads (UDL) • Applied moments • Multiple loads on the same beam Build your beam visually and see how each load affects its behavior. DETAILED RESULTS Beam Calc calculates key structural engineering results including: • Support reactions • Shear force • Shear Force Diagram (SFD) • Bending moment • Bending Moment Diagram (BMD) • Bending stress • Beam slope • Beam deflection Clear diagrams make it easier to understand where maximum shear, moment, stress, and deformation occur. SECTION & MATERIAL INPUTS Define beam dimensions and material properties to calculate section behavior and structural response. Useful for quick calculations involving common engineering beam materials and cross-sections. SAVE YOUR PROJECTS Keep important beam calculations organized by saving projects directly on your device. Return to previous designs without having to enter everything again. PDF ENGINEERING REPORTS Generate professional PDF reports containing your beam information and calculated results. Perfect for: • Engineering calculations • Project documentation • Coursework and assignments • Design reviews • Sharing and printing BUILT FOR ENGINEERS & STUDENTS Beam Calc is useful for: • Civil engineers • Structural engineering students • Mechanical engineers • Engineering technicians • Lecturers and educators • Contractors and designers • Anyone studying strength of materials or structural mechanics Instead of working through repetitive beam equations manually, enter your beam data and get the important results in seconds. SIMPLE. FAST. OFFLINE. Beam Calc is designed as a focused engineering tool without unnecessary complexity. Your calculations and saved projects remain available directly on your device, making the app useful in the classroom, workshop, office, or on site. BEAM CALC PRO Advanced beam configurations, saved projects, and PDF engineering reports are available with the optional lifetime Pro unlock. Important: Beam Calc is intended for educational, preliminary analysis, and engineering calculation purposes. Results should be independently verified before use in safety-critical or final structural designs.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Soil Consolidation at none against Beam Calc's 1. Soil Consolidation also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
