Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: iMic at 4.6 against Remote Gamepad's 4.0. Remote Gamepad's advantage is review sentiment (46% vs 18%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iMic sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Remote Gamepad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
iMic holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 318 and 114 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of iMic's written reviews are positive against 46% of Remote Gamepad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
iMic ships an update every 3 weeks, Remote Gamepad every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
