With FKN you study for the Pyroschein (Fachkundenachweis für Seenotsignalmittel), the German competence certificate for handling pyrotechnic marine distress signals, calmly and at your own pace. It is the certificate most people take right after the Sportbootführerschein (SBF). FKN is a flashcard app: you see a question from the official question-and-answer catalogue, think of your answer, then reveal the correct solution. You mark yourself whether you knew it, so the app collects exactly the cards you still need to review. All 60 official questions, sorted into 4 topics: • Definitions and basics • Acquisition and storage • Legal foundations • Handling Features: • The complete official question catalogue as flashcards • Study all questions at once or by topic • Unanswered questions: focus on exactly what is still missing • Exam simulation: 15 timed questions, like the real test • Tags such as Safety, Regulations and Performance for cross-topic study • Self-assessment with a review stack for your gaps • Clear, focused and with Dark Mode A great companion for the SBF and radio exams. Please note: the official questions and answers are in German, since the FKN exam is German. FKN is an independent study app and is not affiliated with DMYV or DSV. It does not replace the practical handling exam; it prepares you for the theory.
