Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Miami Hurricanes at none against Panthers Plus's 1. Miami Hurricanes also leads on review sentiment (73% vs 46%). Panthers Plus's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and chart position (#130 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Panthers Plus sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $69.99 per year. Miami Hurricanes asks for nothing beyond the download.
Panthers Plus holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Panthers Plus has 792 ratings behind it against 87, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Miami Hurricanes's written reviews are positive against 46% of Panthers Plus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Miami Hurricanes ships an update every 6 weeks, Panthers Plus every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
