Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Cyber Confession at 5.0 against TypeStory's 4.5. Cyber Confession also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months). TypeStory's advantage is ratings volume (3K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TypeStory sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cyber Confession sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Cyber Confession holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TypeStory has 3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
TypeStory ships an update every 2 months, Cyber Confession every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
