Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: JSON Navigator at 5.0 against TinyServer's 4.7. JSON Navigator also leads on price ($0.99 vs $3.99) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 weeks). TinyServer's advantage is ratings volume (28 vs 2) and review sentiment (75% vs 67%). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

TinyServer costs $3.99 and JSON Navigator $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
JSON Navigator holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TinyServer has 28 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of TinyServer's written reviews are positive against 67% of JSON Navigator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
TinyServer ships an update every 4 weeks, JSON Navigator every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
