Beethoven Walks incorporate reproductions of Beethoven’s sketches, or leaves from his autograph manuscripts, connecting those walking the path with Beethoven’s music, his creative process, and the inspiration he drew from nature. Sponsored by Yellow Barn, the first two Beethoven Walks trails are located in Putney, Vermont, including this one at the Greenwood School. This App provides the playlist, directions, and other information necessary to enjoy the trail. Created by Seth Knopp, Beethoven Walks is a project begun during our collective isolation, serving a universal need to better understand our humanity through music and the beauty of our world. These walks open in honor of Beethoven’s 250th birthday, and are dedicated to the world his music shows us is possible.

ABOUT THE DEVELOPER Hi, I'm Winnie! I'm a data engineer by day, but I'm a musician at heart. I've been playing piano nearly my entire life, and I understand the challenges and joys of being a musician. One of my inspirations for creating BeatsNotes was the impressive differences between Glenn Gould's recordings of Bach's Goldberg Variations, recorded when he was 22 and 48. I wanted to ensure that my son could listen to his progression, as we can in Gould's recordings. And so, BeatsNotes was born! I'm excited to get to know you on the app and support each other in our musical journeys.
