This is an App that decodes Morse code input from the microphone. It is a Morse practice App that you can use to check if you are keying the correct code. Signals with good S/N can be decoded correctly, but signals with bad S/N cannot be decoded correctly. Also, the performance will be degraded for extremely slow or fast signals. Usually about 5 to 10 characters are required for speed synchronization of Morse Code. Adjust the input signal so that the peak value changes from level 6 to level 7. Make fine adjustments to each parameter according to the reception status. [Additional Functions] -In addition to the decoder using BPF, a new decoder using FFT has been added so that it can be switched according to the usage. -AFD (Auto Frequency Detector) function has been added to the decoder using BPF, and BPF can be set automatically by pressing the AFD button. -The decoder using FFT automatically follows the strongest signal in the band by AFD (Auto Frequency Detector) and AGC (Auto Gain Control). You can also hold the AFD / AGC parameters by pressing the Lock button. * There will be a time lag of about 1 to 2 seconds for AFD tracking. [Control parameters] 1. Audio Input Level 2.BPF ON/OFF 3.BPF of Center Frequency 4.BPF of Band Width 5.CW Speed Control ON/OFF 6.CW Speed Control Low, Mid1, Mid2 or High 7.Delete All Decoded Text 8.Realtime CW Signal Display 9.Input signal recording / playback function *Japanese/KANA text is not supported. [Note] Since the signal after BPF is output to the audio output, it can also be used as an AF-CW filter. [URL of this App working example video] https://youtu.be/Pwp7W4m-m34

Morse Master helps you learn Morse code by ear with a structured Koch-method path and practical CW drills. Instead of memorizing dots and dashes from a chart, you train the sound patterns used in real copying and sending. Training: - Progressive Koch lessons that introduce characters step by step - Daily Sprint sessions for focused 60-second practice - Listening and receive drills for Morse copy - Sending practice for rhythm, timing, and keying control - Weak-character review and confusing-pair drills - Adjustable WPM, Farnsworth spacing, pitch, noise, and fading - WPM Ladder, Free Range, and copy practice for extra reps Signal tools: - Text to Morse and Morse to text, including Russian, Greek, Japanese Wabun, and Chinese telegraph code - On-device audio decoding from recordings or microphone input - Flashlight Morse transmitter - Training history, progress, badges, and weak-character review Beyond the app: - Morse keyboard: type in Morse in any app, with one-key or two-key input - Apple Watch: check your progress and run listening drills on your wrist; results sync back to iPhone - Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets for today's Sprint, your streak, and due reviews - iCloud sync across your devices (PRO) Morse Master works offline, has no ads, and does not require an account. It is built for beginners, ham radio learners, and CW operators who want a clear daily path from first sounds to steadier copy and sending. Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: RST Decoder at none against Morse Code's 4. RST Decoder also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Morse Code's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). On price and review sentiment there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Morse Code sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. RST Decoder asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

RST Decoder holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Morse Code has 241 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of RST Decoder's written reviews are positive against 69% of Morse Code's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

RST Decoder ships an update every 2 months, Morse Code every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
