Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tuned Hearing at 100% against HearFind's 24%. Tuned Hearing also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 32 months). HearFind's advantage is rating (3.7 vs 2.8) and ratings volume (197 vs 4). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HearFind sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Tuned Hearing asks for nothing beyond the download.
HearFind holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HearFind has 197 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of HearFind's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tuned Hearing's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
HearFind ships an update every 32 months, Tuned Hearing every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
