Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Lowkey at none against ghoulchat's 1. Lowkey also leads on review sentiment (71% vs 57%) and ratings volume (84 vs 16). ghoulchat's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ghoulchat sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Lowkey asks for nothing beyond the download.
ghoulchat holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lowkey has 84 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Lowkey's written reviews are positive against 57% of ghoulchat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Lowkey ships an update every 6 weeks, ghoulchat every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
