Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Possession Timer at none against CTA Dex's 9. Possession Timer also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). CTA Dex's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CTA Dex sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Possession Timer asks for nothing beyond the download.
Possession Timer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CTA Dex has 1.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
