Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: nPTT at 4.6 against BePTT's 2.9. nPTT also leads on review sentiment (41% vs 21%) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BePTT sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and nPTT sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
nPTT holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: nPTT has 118 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 21% of BePTT's written reviews are positive against 41% of nPTT's.
BePTT ships an update every 3 weeks, nPTT every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
