The BlueKey DriverID app allows your Phone to broadcast a Driver ID tag over Bluetooth, enabling a configured GPS tracker to identify the authorised ID and allow the vehcile to start by disabling the immboilizer HOW IT WORKS Traditionally, Driver ID systems required an iButton or RFID tag, which meant installing additional hardware and wiring a reader into the vehicle. The BlueKey Driver ID app replaces the physical iButton or RFID tag. The BlueKey app broadcasts a unique ID for a short number of seconds, this signal can be detected by a compatible GPS tracker, and if recognised, allow you to start the vehicle. Your Driver ID is randomly generated and stored permanently on your device — it never changes, so it always identifies you. No need to install additional RFID or iButton scanners on the vehicle tracker, simply use the phone bluetooth to transmit an ID, and the GPS tracker bluetooth will authenticate recongnised IDs and authorise vehicle starting. The Bluetooth permission prompt will appear the first time you tap to broadcast. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings.
