Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Day Counter at Free against DateTracker's $0.99. Day Counter also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 38 months) and ratings volume (9 vs 1). DateTracker's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.9) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
