Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Home Inventory+ at 50% against Inventorex's 0%. Home Inventory+ also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). Inventorex's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.8) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Inventorex sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Home Inventory+ sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Inventorex holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Home Inventory+ has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Inventorex's written reviews are positive against 50% of Home Inventory+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Inventorex ships an update every 3 weeks, Home Inventory+ every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
