iPodcasts is a programmable Podcast player. This app provides flexible rule based smart playlist and alarm function. You can listen to fresh Podcast episodes according to the rules you defined in a playlist configuration on time you specified. Playlist You can create a list of Podcast channels you want to listen to sequentially in the order you define. iPodcast’s playlist provides the following features. - Unlimited number of channels can be added to a single playlist. - Channels registered in the playlist will be played sequentially in the order they appear in the playlist, regardless of the episode's posted time (regardless new and old). - Channels added to the playlist can be deleted or re-ordered any time. - When you add a podcast channel to a playlist, you can use any keywords to search your favorite channel. - Before adding a channel to the playlist, you can audition the currently available episodes of the search result channels. - To add a podcast channel to a playlist, you can directly enter any RSS feed URL not registered in iTunes store. - When you start playing, always the latest fresh episodes will be downloaded because the iPodcast does not cache any episodes. - Because the iPodcast does not cache any episode, there is no waste of device storage. - If you purchased the “multiple playlist enabler” In-App-Purchase option, you can create and play multiple playlists. Playlist Configuration In the iPodcast’s playlist configuration, you can define rules on how to choose episode(s) available in each channel. - When you start playing, iPodcast extracts episodes published in 24 hours, 7 days or time frame you defined from each channel registered in the playlist. - You can define the number of episodes to play from each channel. - If you purchased the “multiple playlist enabler” In-App-Purchase option, you can define custom time-frame. - If you purchased the “multiple playlist enabler” In-App-Purchase option, you can enable the “repeat all” option. The “repeat all” option enables iPodcast to continue playing with re-starting to play from the first after all episodes in the playlist were played. Alarm The alarm function of iPodcast allows you to automatically play playlists on a specific day-time. While the iPodcast is up and active as a front app on your iOS device, the playlist assigned to the alarm will start playing automatically at the time specified by the alarm. If the iPodcast is running in the background or not up, the playlist assigned to the alarm will not start automatically, but iPodcast will send a notification with its unique alarm sound at the time specified by the alarm. Clock The clock screen of the iPodcast prevents your device from getting auto-locked. It is used to keep the iPodcast active and allows the playlist you created to start playing automatically at the time specified by the alarm. While this clock screen is being presented, your device will be prevented from getting auto-locked and iPodcast will start playing the playlist automatically at the time specified by the iPadcast's alarm. It’s strongly recommended to connect your device to the battery charger while the iPodcast's clock is active. In App Purchase Multiple Playlist Enabler This In-App Purchase option enables following features. - You can create unlimited number of playlists. - You can enable the “repeat all” option in the playlist configuration. - You can define a custom time frame in the playlist configuration.

"Dad, why does God let bad things happen?" Some questions stop you in your tracks. AskScripture answers them the way you'd want a wise friend with a seminary library to: clearly, from Scripture, and with the evidence in front of you. EVERY ANSWER, CHAPTER AND VERSE Ask anything about the Bible, doubt, or Christian living. Every answer comes back four ways: • A plain-language summary, organized by topic • The exact verses, quoted from licensed translations (NASB by default; KJV, ASV, BSB, CEV, Douay-Rheims and more) with book, chapter, and verse • Insights from respected Christian thinkers and apologists, with every book citation checked against a catalog of real, published works before a link is shown • Teaching videos from trusted apologists and teachers, cued to the exact moment they address your question Pastoral guidance is kept visibly separate from the biblical text, so you always know what is Scripture and what is interpretation. ANSWERS SHAPED TO WHO'S ASKING The same question deserves a different answer for a nine-year-old, a skeptical coworker, and you. Set up a profile for each person you're answering for: • For yourself: where you are in your faith journey (Practicing, Exploring, Questioning), the topics on your mind (Doubt & Faith, Suffering, Bible Contradictions, Relationships, Ethics, Theology), and your preferred translation • For your child: pick an age range, from Pre-K through High School, and ask the question they asked you. You get an explanation you can give in your own words, with teaching examples pitched to their age and how they learn best • For a friend: set where they are, whether Christian, Exploring Christianity, Skeptical, or of another faith or none, and get help saying something true and kind the next time the question comes up TALK IT THROUGH, OUT LOUD With Premium, have a natural, real-time voice conversation about faith. Ask aloud, hear a thoughtful answer, and keep going hands-free while you walk, commute, or sit with it. ALSO INCLUDED • Save answers and return to them anytime • Ask straight from your Home Screen or Lock Screen with the AskScripture widget • Choose your preferred Bible translation • Flag anything that seems incorrect; every answer can be reported in the app • No ads FREE & PREMIUM Free: 3 questions with full verse citations and a related-video preview. Premium: 7-day free trial, then a monthly subscription with unlimited questions, every video and insight, and live voice conversation (100 minutes a month). Pricing is shown in the app before you subscribe. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be canceled anytime in your App Store settings. Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: iPodcasts at none against AskScripture's shown. iPodcasts also leads on iOS requirement (9.3 vs 15.1). AskScripture's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
