Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Xmas Countdown! at none against Blessedid's 12. Xmas Countdown! also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Blessedid's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (33K vs 2). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blessedid sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Xmas Countdown! asks for nothing beyond the download.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Xmas Countdown! against 4.9 for Blessedid. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blessedid has 33K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Xmas Countdown! ships an update every 9 months, Blessedid weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
