Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
DT Driver holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DT Driver has 125 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Alfa ELD's written reviews are positive against 40% of DT Driver's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Alfa ELD ships an update every 3 months, DT Driver every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
