Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Doing Doing at 4.6 against egg's 4.0. Doing Doing also leads on ratings volume (97 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). egg's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Doing Doing sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and egg sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Doing Doing holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Doing Doing has 97 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Doing Doing's written reviews are positive against 100% of egg's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Doing Doing ships an update every 2 days, egg weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 10, 2026 respectively.
