Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is monetization model: Pedometer at free with in-app purchases against Jogmate's subscription. Pedometer also leads on ratings volume (44 vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). Jogmate's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 64%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.5). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jogmate sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $10.99 per month and Pedometer sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings
