Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: OnAir Client at 4.8 against TarinNet's 4.2. TarinNet's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and review sentiment (100% vs 77%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OnAir Client sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. TarinNet asks for nothing beyond the download.
OnAir Client holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TarinNet has 27 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of TarinNet's written reviews are positive against 77% of OnAir Client's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
TarinNet ships an update every 4 weeks, OnAir Client fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
