Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: MBL at 100% against Ryder Cup's 20%. MBL also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Ryder Cup's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (13K vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MBL sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Ryder Cup asks for nothing beyond the download.
MBL holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ryder Cup has 13K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of Ryder Cup's written reviews are positive against 100% of MBL's.
Ryder Cup ships an update fortnightly, MBL every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
